Wondering why some NFTs or Tokens end up “Hidden” from your OpenSea profile? Let’s learn more.
One unique property of many blockchains is that anyone can send and receive tokens to and from wallet addresses. This means you don’t have to buy or sell an NFT or token to have it transferred to your wallet. You don’t even need to accept the transfer. It’s similar to how anyone can send you an email.
Receiving an NFT or token you didn’t purchase doesn’t mean your wallet has been compromised. Sometimes, legitimate creators may mint NFTs or transfer tokens to people directly as part of an airdrop. However, similar to spam emails, scammers may transfer NFTs or tokens to entice you into viewing their social media or website, which can contain malicious links. They also may send the items for promotional purposes.
To protect our users, OpenSea will move certain transferred NFTs or tokens to Hidden status. For example, tokens with low liquidity may be hidden by default. In this case, the item won’t appear on your profile and the transfer won’t appear in your activity feed.
Like an email spam folder, sometimes legitimate NFTs and tokens will be hidden, and at other times, malicious NFTs and tokens may appear on your profile. Always exercise caution when clicking on a non-OpenSea URL associated with an item visible on OpenSea.

Viewing your hidden NFTs and tokens on OpenSea
These instructions display the steps to complete for NFTs, but they are the same for Tokens. Simply click on the Tokens tab instead.
If you were expecting a transfer but don’t see it, click on your Items tab. Filter the status by “Hidden."
If you’d like to unhide an item, select it. Using the bottom navigation bar, click the eye icon and click it to unhide.
You'll see a confirmation message that the item was unhidden from your profile.
Unhiding an item on OpenSea doesn’t result in a direct interaction with the NFT or a third-party website.
