How do I buy fixed-price NFTs?

Updated over a week ago

This article covers how to buy NFTs that are listed for sale on OpenSea. If you’d instead like to make an offer on an individual item or collection, visit our Help Center guides.

Purchasing from the item page

From the item page, click the "Buy now" button.

If the item is compatible with the ERC-1155 standard for semi-fungible items (popular with gaming items), you can choose multiple copies of the item to "Buy now."

When you click “Buy now,” OpenSea will display a “Checkout” showing the item you are about to purchase (as shown below) and will also pass instructions to your wallet software. An in-wallet pop up will show the transaction details and prompt you to sign the transaction to purchase the NFT at the listed price. Blockchain transactions are final, so you should carefully review the transaction details in your wallet before signing.

Purchasing from the collection page

You can also initiate a purchase from a collection page by clicking "Buy now" on the item card, or by selecting multiple items and clicking "Buy now" in the bottom bar.

You can select up to 50 items at once.

A “Checkout” page and an in-wallet popup presenting transaction details for your signature will be presented, as described above.

If you’re purchasing multiple items, each item is formatted into its own transaction and submitted through your wallet to the blockchain. It’s possible that one or more of the transactions may fail. Once the blockchain confirms successful transactions, both your wallet and OpenSea will display confirmation messages.

If you don't have enough funds on your desired item's blockchain, you may be prompted to use funds that you already have on another chain. For more information about this feature, visit our Help Center guide.
