OpenSea’s OS2 open beta supports cross-chain purchases. This means you can use funds on one chain to purchase an item on another chain, without manually bridging your funds.
To use this feature, navigate to checkout for the item you want to buy. If you don’t have enough funds on the item’s chain, you’ll be prompted to select another cryptocurrency in your wallet to use to make the purchase.
When you’re ready, click Purchase cross-chain. Complete the signature request in your wallet.
At this time, we only support native cryptocurrency on other chains, and WETH on Polygon, for cross-chain purchases.
Why doesn’t the cross-chain purchase feature work for me?
OpenSea currently doesn’t support purchasing cross-chain for the following scenarios. Instead, you may see an insufficient balance error. In this case, you’ll need to manually swap your funds.
