How do I edit my collection details?

Updated this week

In the Details section, you can update your collection’s name on OpenSea, add a description, and customize your OpenSea URL. These details can always be edited later.

Navigate to OpenSea Studio. You’ll see a list of all of your collections associated with your wallet. Click on the collection you’d like to edit, and select Collection Details.

  1. Update your collection display name, if desired. The contract name will be displayed by default.

  2. Optionally add a description. You can use it to add character and personality to your page and provide useful links to your community. The description section supports markdown formatting.

  3. Next, enter your collection’s category. You can choose from Art, Gaming, Memberships, Music, PFPs, Photography, Domain Names, Sports Collectibles, and Virtual Worlds.

  4. You’ll have some options to toggle, marking your collection as containing explicit and sensitive content, permitting trait-based collection offers, and showing OpenRarity if your collection is eligible.

  5. Finally, you can add a collection collaborator. Collection collaborators can modify important collection settings. However, only the owner of a collection can create new items and edit the creator earnings recipient addresses and creator earnings percentages. You should only add collaborators you know and trust.

For information about setting creator earnings for your collection, you can read through our help guide. Click Add collaborator and then enter their wallet address or ENS name. Click Publish Changes when you’re ready.

Be sure to update your collection page if you haven't already done so. If you like, now you can return to OpenSea Studio and click Create to add more items to your collection. Learn more about creating individual NFTs in our help guide.

How can I use markdown?

Here are some examples of markdown formatting you can use:

  • To create a link, enclose the link text in brackets and then follow it immediately with the URL in parentheses. For example, [OpenSea](https://opensea.io)

  • To add italics, use either * or _around your text.

  • To add bold text, use either** or __ around your text.
