Just like you can connect your OpenSea collection to a social account, you’ll now be able to connect your Twitter to your profile! This adds another layer of authentication for users on OpenSea.
Please note that while you may be accustomed to having your Twitter linked immediately below your username, we’ve recently initiated a change so that you can now navigate to your Twitter by clicking on the Twitter icon on the top right-hand side of your profile, alongside other social media links like Instagram.
Let’s get started!
Connecting your Twitter account
1. Navigate to your profile icon in the top-right corner and select Settings.
2. Under the Social Connections heading, you’ll see a new connect button. Click Connect to proceed.
3. You’ll then be taken to a new page where you’ll be asked to authorize OpenSea’s connection with your Twitter account. Your Twitter account name will be displayed in the top-right corner.
4. Your profile page will now display your linked Twitter account in the top right-hand corner. Clicking it will redirect you to the account on Twitter, and hovering over it, you'll see a new "Ownership verified" message:
Disconnecting your Twitter account
Disconnecting your Twitter is simple. Go back to your profile settings and scroll down to Social Connections again. You'll be able to see your active Twitter connection.
To disconnect your account, simply press the Disconnect button with your account name on the right.
You'll receive a confirmation message on the bottom-right hand corner of your profile settings page confirming that your Twitter account has been disconnected:
What if I’ve previously added my Twitter handle on OpenSea?
If you previously added your Twitter handle to your OpenSea profile, the Twitter field will be read-only. You’ll see a note prompting you to connect your Twitter account:
