This article explains how to cancel or lower the price of listings for your items on sale.
⚠️ Please note, transferring NFTs does not automatically cancel listings. You should always cancel a listing of an NFT before transferring it to a new wallet. This ensures the listing is not fulfillable through OpenSea.
To cancel a listing, click on Cancel listing at the top right of your item page.
A confirmation screen will appear asking you to confirm the cancellation. Please note, cancelling listings requires a gas fee to make the item unavailable to other users.
Transferring items with listings
Please keep in mind that if you transfer your item to a new wallet it will not cancel any listings. To ensure all listings have been cancelled on an NFT, you will need to transfer it back to the original wallet and proceed with the steps described above. This ensures the listing is not fulfillable through OpenSea.
- You list an NFT on Wallet A for 1 ETH.
- You transfer the NFT to Wallet B without canceling the 1 ETH listing.
- To delist the NFT entirely, transfer the NFT back to Wallet A and cancel the 1 ETH listing.
Lowering the price of listings
You can lower the price of a fixed-price listing by clicking Lower price at the top right of your item page.
Enter your desired new price and click Set new price to confirm.
Please note, if you wish to cancel the listing entirely, every new price listing requires an additional gas fee to cancel.
For example, if you lower the price three times, four separate cancellation fees are required to make the item unavailable to other users.
