How can I cancel or lower the price of NFT listings?

This article explains how to cancel or lower the price of your listings, and why you should cancel inactive listings to prevent unwanted sales at outdated prices.

Cancel a listing from the item page

1. To cancel a listing, navigate to the item and click Cancel listing.

2. Review and approve the gas fee in your wallet. This withdraws the transfer authorization you previously recorded on the blockchain.

If you can’t access your OpenSea account, you may be able to use a third-party service such as revoke.cash to remove the ability for a listing to be filled using OpenSea. Keep in mind that if you later re-grant approval to OpenSea, any listings that aren't expired or canceled may become fillable again. OpenSea does not make guarantees about third-party services.

Cancel listings from your profile

You can view all your Active and Inactive listings from your profile by clicking the Listings tab and filtering by Active or Inactive. Active listings mean that you still own the item. Inactive listings mean that someone else now owns the item, but if the item returns to your wallet, the listing could become active again.

1. On your profile, click the Listings tab.

2. Filter by Active or Inactive to find the listing you want to cancel.

3. Select the listing you wish to cancel and click Cancel listing. You can select multiple listings at once, or bulk-cancel all listings and offers on a particular chain.

4. Review and approve the gas fee in your wallet.

Lower a listing price

1. Navigate to the item page and click Edit listing.

2. Set a new price and listing expiration, then click Edit.

3. Review and confirm the updated listing in your wallet.

Lower an ERC-1155 listing

1. Navigate to the item page and click List for sale, or go to your profile and click List item.

2. Set a new price and listing expiration, then click Review listing.

3. If the new price is below the collection floor price, you'll see a warning. Click Confirm listing price to proceed.

4. Review and confirm the listing in your wallet.

What are inactive listings?

Inactive listings are no longer displayed on OpenSea, but they can still be fulfilled on the blockchain if the original order conditions are met. For example, if you transferred or sold an item while it had an active listing, that listing becomes inactive. If the item later returns to your wallet, the inactive listing could become fillable again — potentially at a stale price you no longer want.

To protect yourself, you should cancel any inactive listings you no longer need. You can find them on your profile under the Listings tab by clicking the Inactive filter. If you have inactive listings, you'll see a banner at the top of the page with a link to view them.
