Features described in this article may be released as part of a phased rollout and may not be available to all users.
You can customize how swaps work on the OpenSea app, including slippage tolerance, gas payment method, and default purchase amounts.
Open any token's swap screen and tap the gear icon in the top-right corner. You can also access these settings from Settings → Swap Settings.
Tap the setting you want to change, select your preferred option, and your choice will apply to all future swaps.
Max Slippage
Controls your tolerance for price movement between when you submit a swap and when it executes. Choose Auto to let OpenSea find the lowest slippage for a successful swap, or Manual to set a fixed percentage. You can set separate slippage values for buying with stable or native balances, buying with other tokens, and selling tokens.
Pay Gas With
Choose how to pay transaction gas fees. Auto uses USDC when available and falls back to the native token. You can also choose USDC to always pay in USDC when supported, or Native to always pay in the chain's native token (ETH, etc.).
Default Purchase Amounts
These are the quick-select amounts shown on the swap interface. Tap each one to change the value. By default these are $10, $50, and $100.
Quick Amount Type
Choose whether quick amounts are displayed as dollar values or as percentages of your balance.
Preferred Wallets
Choose which wallets are preferred for token swaps and collection purchases. You can set a preferred EVM wallet and a preferred Solana wallet, separately for token swaps and NFT collection purchases.
Swap Sound
Toggle this to play a sound when a swap completes successfully.
