Candlestick charts display token price movements with detailed market data, helping you make informed decisions before swapping. Charts update in real time with live price data.
You can find the candlestick chart feature by navigating to any token page on OpenSea, finding the chart area below the token information, and clicking on the candlestick chart icon on the top righthand corner.
Use the timeframe buttons (1 hour, 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, 6 months) to change the price history you see, and adjust the candle size to view intervals of activity within that price history using the dropdown window. Available candle sizes include 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, and 1 day. The chart will automatically adjust compatible candle sizes when you change timeframes.
When you hover over a candle on a token’s candlestick chart, you can view:
Main price (close): The token price when the time period ended
Open: The token price when the time period started
High: The highest price during that time period
Low: The lowest price during that time period
Volume: The total trading volume during that time period
Timestamp
The rectangular body section of the candlestick displays the range between opening and closing prices, while the "wicks" (vertical lines) display the highest and lowest prices in that period.
Green candles represent a higher closing price than opening price, while red candles represent a lower closing price than opening price.
Candlestick charts are only available for certain tokens at this time. Native tokens like ETH and SOL display line charts instead. For tokens where candlesticks aren’t supported, click Advanced to view more extensive data, or view the token’s line chart.
